Coaching Staff

Glen Willmeng – Head Team Coach/Owner

“My coaching career began at the age of 19.  My love for the sport grew as I moved from coaching recreational gymnastics to team gymnastics. I was 21 when I started my first Developmental Team and it was just recently when one of those girls graduated high school with high honors and now at the University of Miami in Ohio. I always knew gymnastics was a journey that built so many things besides medals and trophies to display for friends and family. It was her banquet speech that helped so many understand what I already knew…gymnastics not only made her a better athlete, but a better person. Through countless hours of training she learned two important skills – team work and time management. I look forward to the upcoming years of training, mentoring, and helping other young athletes develop into intelligent, caring, and hardworking adults through the sport of gymnastics.”

Kevin Quirk – Assistant Head Coach/Recreational Program Director/Owner

“After several years of successful coaching I moved into the position of Program Director for recreational classes in a gym with over 1,000 students passing through each week. It was during that time I learned the importance of building a strong recreational program in order to build the strength and confidence needed to further their career in the sport of gymnastics or in any other sport.  Recreational classes are the foundation for which young athletes can build their future.  During the course of my coaching career, I met my wife and we are the proud parents of four beautiful children. It has been through this experience that I have gained some of my most important knowledge, what it feels like from a parent’s point of view. I look forward to the future of UGA and to provide a fun and safe learning environment for children of all ages to begin their athletic careers.”
